2016 marks Robert’s 40th year as a professional musician. On July 4, 1976 his first pro gig was in Lexington, Michigan, performing as a mandolin player in a Bluegrass band for a Bi Centennial Community Concert.

A graduate of the “school of hard knocks”, his skills have diversified. In the 1980’s he worked a fiddler/guitarist/mandolin player in pop country bands. Since the late 1980’s his focus has been as a classical/jazz guitar soloist while continuing to perform as a Celtic/Bluegrass fiddler. Appearances have included community concerts, community festivals, St. Pat’s day events and more as a soloist and ensemble leader.
